The NEOMA project team has been teaching its artificial intelligence (AI) to more accurately categorise documents following user feedback, while the upcoming communications module is being put through the works.

Debugging and Development Progress

Our dedicated developers have been hard at work debugging the outbound communications hub, a critical component of NEOMA. As with any IT project, debugging is an essential yet intricate process, and the team has been diligently untangling various errors to ensure the smooth functioning of the hub.

One significant upgrade from PHILIS is the ability to customise and format emails directly within the NEOMA communications hub. While this feature has shown promise in our test environment, it has encountered challenges when deployed via email. However, our team is diligently addressing these issues, and we anticipate a resolution soon.

Once debugging is complete, the team will proceed to the final phase of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), where user feedback will be invaluable in refining the system.

SharePoint talks to NEOMA

SharePoint Integration In parallel, we're excited to announce the integration of NEOMA's communications module with SharePoint. This integration will enable seamless access to relevant files stored in SharePoint sites, enhancing accessibility and collaboration.

Project Manager Adam Gould highlighted the significance of this feature, stating:

"This feature will open up a range of possibilities for NEOMA, and the organization as a whole, to utilise SharePoint in creative ways and make files more accessible. While PHILIS allows documents to be viewed through SharePoint, NEOMA will be able to actually navigate it."

Looking ahead

The communications hub is nearing the UAT stage, marking a significant milestone in the project's development. Additionally, developer James Ulph continues to work on PHILIS DES integration, and NEOMA's AI capabilities are evolving with user feedback.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to sharing further updates in the next dev diary from the NEOMA project team.
